I-TEC's Flying Car was featured in Popular Mechanic's "10 Most Brilliant Innovators of 2009" article, published online October 6, 2009. The article offers a brief report on Steve Saint's vision for the Maverick, as well as performance milestones met by the prototype featured in the article.

New Flying Car Aims to Save Lives in the Amazon, published October 1, 2009 by Logan Ward of Popular Mechanics, covers some of the inspiration and history behind I-TEC and the Maverick project, and offers a journalist's flavorful description of the project and those it involves.

I Learned To Fly In One Week, by Popular Mechanics researcher Davin Coburn, records his experiences as he earned his Sports Pilot's License within a single week. Although a much shorter timescale than is typical for such an acheivement, Coburn's accomplishment highlights the flexibility and accessibility that LSA regulation has brought to the aviation industry in general, and to the Maverick in particular.

The Maverick Flies was written by I-TEC founder Steve Saint soon after the prototype Maverick's first flight, and highlights its capability as a rugged frontier transport that would connect otherwise inaccessible areas to the wider world.
